Kit Manufacturer

This was to be the last season with Scoreline, as the company folded.

Football League Branding

All clubs were required to apply a small competition sleeve patch depicting the Football League logo. This was the first time such insignia had featured.

Home Kit & Variations

Long
sleeves

The Scoreline kits largely retained their general design, with the most notable change being the addition of competition sleeve patches.

For the first game of the season, the team wore the previous season's hoop-topped socks, these were then replaced with plain socks for the season.

The Pergamon sponsor continued to feature in two different sizes, with all shirts now only displaying the coin motif positioned above the name.

Away Kit & Variations

Long
sleeves

Again, the 1988 navy Umbro socks were used for several matches.

For the final game of the season, Oxford United wore plain red socks at Leicester City. It can only be presumed that the old Scoreline socks had reached the end of their lifespan by that point.

Goalkeeper Jerseys

The primary jerseys had the sponsors logo with the motif positioned below the name, most likely they were 1989 jerseys.

Newer jerseys with the motif above the name were produced, indeed one appeared in the official team photo, but strangely, they were never worn in a first team match.

The red and blue jerseys each featured once, both against Plymouth Argyle.
