The 2025 shirt has similarities to the shirts worn 1993 to 1995, featuring navy collars and sleeves. It’s been widely praised, with many football content creators ranking it among the best, or even the best in the league.
A consistent design theme runs across the entire kit, with pencil-thin twin bands trimming each garment to create a clean, cohesive look. The navy sleeves also feature a subtle shadow wave pattern - identical to the one used on the 2023 electric blue third kit.
There are a couple of subtle updates from last season: the Baxi sponsor logo now sits slightly higher on the chest, and the club crest features a yellow border instead of the previous white versions.

The away strip is a thing of beauty, shattering sales records within just four hours of its launch.
Combining black with gold detailing, the kit features the same abstract swirl pattern seen on United’s training and warm-up gear - though here, it’s more refined, with a subtle sheen that catches the light.
The highlight for many fans is the return of the iconic ox-head, centrered, and standing proudly on its own once again, free from the club crest.
Third Kit
The new third kit is certainly eye-catching. But what colour is it? Blue, teal, or turquoise? I’d call it turquoise - though it’s a little less green than Macron’s usual take on the shade.
The look is completed with pink trim throughout, even appearing as a shadow detail on the Macron motifs.
Goalkeeper Kits
The goalkeeper kits are relatively plain and straight from Macron’s catalogue, and feature the 'Cerberus' jersey template.
Just like the previous season, the keepers also wore an outfield kit.
League Cup
This year, a nice new touch was the introduction of a special design honouring all previous League Cup winners. This concept had been a feature of FA Cup patches since 2020.
As such, Oxford United’s famous Wembley win in 1986 is commemorated with the addition of a number 1.
Caprinos did not feature as the sleeve sponsor, which seemed odd, as they had featured on the Carabao Cup shirts in 2024.

Pre-season Kits
The new Macron home kit debuted at the Indonesia President’s Cup 2025 tournament. However, the old 2024 all-yellow socks were worn in all matches.
The shirt numbers differed to previous Macron pre-seasons, with the club's preferred styled font 'Fixen' used, with a small hollow Ox-head motif on the base of each numeral.
Tournament sleeve patches were required to be worn on the left sleeve (in the UK its always the right sleeve). Unusually, there was a different coloured patch for the goalkeepers.
For the first UK pre-season game at Mansfield Town, the team wore the 2024 purple third kit, minus the secondary sponsors. These shirts featured the EFL issued number set.
For the three pre-season games at the Kassam Stadium, the team wore the full 2025 home kit, including the debut of the updated 2025 socks.
The shirt numbers continued with the custom 'Fixen' font, but now the shirts also included the player names.
