Kit Manufacturer

This was to be Starter's last season associated with Oxford United.

EFL Branding

The Skybet competition sleeve patches and numbers remained unchanged from 2016.

Home Kit & Away Variations

With Base
Layer

The 2017 kit had an air of familiarity about it, as the shirt design was simply a colour reversal of the 2016 away shirt.

The blue socks were a mismatched colour when compared to the rest of the kit.

Some players wore smaller-sized shirts featuring a junior-sized sponsors logo (see player 18). This was because the navy rib panels reduced the width of the chest area.

Away Kit

With Base
Layer

Oxford United last wore ‘all-black’ during the 2005 season. This particular design had grey/silver detailing, giving the kit a smart, understated look.

Goalkeeper Kits

Remembrance Shirts

This marked the first time a yellow shirt featured a poppy, as previous Remembrance weekends had coincided with away fixtures, requiring Oxford to wear their away colours.

Chairman Darryl Eales pre-purchased all 18 shirts, making a donation to the Royal British Legion. His plan was to resell the shirts to genuine collectors, with a second round of proceeds also donated to the Royal British Legion.
