The club crest was now embroidered in blue.

Umbro's diamond logo appeared on the shirt and shorts, the first time a kit supplier motif had featured on an Oxford United shirt.

The slightly different shirts now featured an open v-neck instead of the classic Umbro triangle-shaped insert seen during the previous two seasons.
We also saw the first hints of the now-familiar Yellow and Blue colours, with blue featuring on the club crest and the Umbro motif. Additionally, the match-day programme cover was prominently blue, demonstrating the evolving identity of the club.
