The Admiral shirts featured subtle changes compared to those worn in the previous season.
During the 1977/78 season, the shirts did not include a club crest; however, this was thankfully reinstated.
The shirt numbers were now displayed in a large 'block' style, replacing the previous season's sans-serif design.
Additionally, the shirts now featured prominent flared collars, reflecting the fashion trends of the day.
The yellow socks no longer featured a hoop on the turnover.
Away Kit
The red shirts were updated with the club crest whilst the white shorts were changed to red.
Third Kit
This white kit was unchained for the 1978 season. Interestingly, the white shirts never received club crests, which is why they are described as the third kit. However, the 1978 team did pose in this strip during the pre-season press photocall.
