Kit Manufacturer

Whilst Nike's shirt was similar to a design worn by United in the mid-'70s, this particular example was poorly received.

EFL Branding

With a return to the Football League, the club was issued with Football League numbers, letters and competition sleeve patches.

However, the extensive use of navy blue, especially on the back of the shirts, did not resonate well with fans. Additionally, alternative yellow shorts or socks were not used throughout the season.

Away Kit & Variation

It did seem strange to choose sky blue for the change colour, especially considering the home kit was also predominately blue.

Third Kit & Variations

The 2009 change shirt was used as the basis of a third-choice kit. These shirts included the new sponsors, player numbers and competition patches.

Interestingly, at West Ham, the navy socks were a different design to the navy home socks. The socks were in the same style as the sky blue socks but were only ever worn for this one match.

Goalkeeper Kits

Remembrance Shirts

During the away match at Rotherham, the team debuted change shirts adorned with poppy transfers for the first time. This has since become a standard feature for remembrance weekends.

However, it appeared that the poppies were applied incorrectly, as they were positioned on their sides.

The shirts were later auctioned to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

Charity Shirt

The final home match of the season featured shirts with the Oxford Children's Hospital logo, which replaced the Bridle roundel, but not the Bridle name.

The shirts were later auctioned to help raise funds for the charity.
